Creation Songs exists to teach children God’s foundational truths through catchy melodies they (and their grown-ups) will want to play over and over again. A unique blend of prayerful worship and biblical education, our songs are crafted for singability, simple enough to memorise, and packed with Scripture. We’re here to combat a world of candy floss with the meat of the gospel—from morning prayers to car rides, churches to classrooms—leading little hearts into a life of loving God.
Crafted in a humble home studio in Auckland, New Zealand, Creation Songs is the passion project of Hannah Aiken—happy wife, mum of two, painter, gardener, singer-songwriter and musician at her local church.
After becoming a mum, Hannah discovered that the landscape of children’s music had changed dramatically since the “Jesus Loves Me” and “My God Is So Big” tunes that had anchored her childhood. With a deep desire to train her kids in God’s ways, she realised it was a challenge to find great songs that were theologically strong while also pleasant to the ear. Over the next season as she prayed and walked through the ordinary moments of daily discipleship with her kids, new songs began to flow into her heart almost faster than she could notate them down—simple enough to remember, yet with the depth of eternity tucked into each lyric.
As the catchy little tunes began to multiply and her kids and their friends learnt each new one with delight, Hannah soon realised that these songs, born out of a passion for teaching her own kids what is right, good, wholesome, and true (Phil 4:8), were perhaps meant to bless others too.
With just a microphone, a MIDI keyboard, and a vision in her heart, the next few years became a labour of love as she carefully brought each song to life, with many more still to come.
Her prayer is that hearts would open up to God as they listen, guiding kids in a lifetime of devotion to Him as they walk in His ways.
